CE Policy and Options

Builders who joined before March 31, 2012 must complete 8 hours of continuing education between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012.  Two of the hours must pertain to local inspections/codes.

Builders who joined between April 1 and June 30, 2012 must complete 6 hours by December 31, 2012.  Two of the hours must pertain to local inspections/codes.

Builders who joined between July 1 and September 30, 2012 must complete 4 hours by December 31, 2012.  Two of the hours must pertain to local inspections/codes.

• Any employee in the company can complete the hours, as long they are legal employees of the company.

Courses may be taken through HBAWS, NCHBA, NAHB, local trade associations, business schools, etc.  For courses offered by groups other than HBAWS we require documentation of the course (a completion certificate, description of content, proof of attendance, etc.)  Contact the HBA office for more information.
