2011 Fall Parade Association Home

The 2011 Fall Parade Home was built by Buck Horn Construction Company, Inc. in Brookberry Farm.

The 2009 Parade of Homes Association Home is a wonderful project in a great location, and the Parade Association Home is under contract! Thanks goes to Carol Ray, Prudential Carolinas Reality, for bringing an excited buyer to meet the builder and hear about the wonderful home and all the features. David Hickman, Westphalia Construction Company, Inc., is building the 2009 Parade of Homes Association Home on lot #243 in Brookberry Farm, 954 Berryhill Lane. This two-story home with a three car basement garage and finished space in the basement will have 4,032 square feet. It will also feature a circle drive in front for easy access. The master bedroom is located on the main level along with a formal living room or study, family room, dining room, kitchen and breakfast room. A large deck and screened porch round out this level with lots of space for family time or entertaining. The second floor has three bedrooms with 4.5 bathrooms throughout the home. This home will be Energy Star certified. 2008 Fall Parade Association Home

The 2008 Parade of Homes Association Home was a very unique project consisting of a bungalow style home in West End. Richard Alexander, Richard Alexander Custom Homes, Inc., built a practical craftsman style floor plan. The home, in a Historic Overlay district, utilizes approved materials on the exterior, such as fiber cement siding, cedar shakes siding and SDL aluminum clad windows. The interior finish is high-level in keeping with the historic nature of the location. The basement is finished with a bedroom, bathroom, family room and exercise room. There is offstreet parking in the rear courtyard. Clare Fader, of Leonard Ryden Burr Real Estate, marketed the home. The intent of this home was to provide consumers with a new home, built to look as though it is original to the neighborhood. A front porch complements this main-level master bedroom plan along with a rear screen porch. The home built at 605 Jersey Avenue was listed for $430,000 which was very attractive for those wanting to live in an urban environment.

2007 Fall Parade Association Home

The home was being built in Speas Meadows in Tobaccoville, and was marketed by Victoria Frye of Allen Tate Realtors. The development is a picturesque community near King with views of Pilot Mountain. The home features an open breakfast room, kitchen and keeping room area with high ceilings. A deck and screened porch overlook a peaceful vista of the rear acreage. 2006 Fall Parade Association Home

Each year the Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem enters an association sponsored home in the Parade of Homes. The 2006 home wass located in Bermuda Run West.

From its inception in 1987, the annual construction of the Association home has been an important activity of the Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem. This annual project is a vital fund-raising project for the association, and an excellent opportunity for members to showcase their goods and services.
